Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats is an American folk-rock and soul band that burst onto the music scene in 2015, captivating audiences with their infectious energy and powerful performances. Led by singer-songwriter Nathaniel Rateliff, the group has garnered critical acclaim for their unique blend of vintage soul, rhythm and blues, and rock 'n' roll influences.

Nathaniel Rateliff, born on October 7, 1978, in St. Louis, Missouri, began his musical journey as a solo artist before forming The Night Sweats in Denver, Colorado. The band's self-titled debut album was released in August 2015 under the iconic Stax Records label. This album showcased Rateliff's raw and emotive vocals alongside the band's tight instrumentation, resulting in a sound reminiscent of classic soul and R&B acts from the '60s and '70s.

The breakthrough single "S.O.B." propelled Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats into the mainstream consciousness. With its foot-stomping rhythm, infectious handclaps, and cathartic chorus, the song became an instant hit and reached the top of Billboard's Adult Alternative Songs chart. Its success helped to solidify the band's reputation as a force to be reckoned with.

In addition to their chart success, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats have received widespread critical acclaim for their live performances.
